TJ TWIST Hosts Over 600 Families at Annual Techstravaganza

Techstravaganza is an opportunity for TJ students to share their knowledge and enthusiasm for STEM with the public. Visitors to this annual event learn from dozens of student-led demonstrations and can participate in hands-on STEM activities; Banana DNA, Making Ice Cream, and Stomp Rockets remain some of the event’s most popular exhibits.

More than 4,350 people from over 300 different schools attended Techstravaganza in 2018. Techstravaganza 2021 was held virtually this past spring. For more information about next year's event, please visit the Techstravaganza site.

Techstravaganza is hosted by TJ’s Tomorrow’s Women in Science and Technology (TWIST), a student-led organization committed to increasing diversity and particularly female participation in STEM activities. This nonprofit event is largely supported by area sponsorships, donations, and grants. Funding goes towards lab materials, set-up, and the bus transportation system. To increase accessibility, TWIST will provide buses to and from schools of high interest, with priority given to Title I elementary schools, on the day of Techstravaganza.

If you are interested in becoming a Techstravaganza sponsor, please email Tanuja Tase at ttase@tjpartnershipfund.org. Donations of $250 and above are considered sponsorships, and your logo will be displayed on the Techstravaganza website and promotional materials.
