TJ Partnership Fund Student Ambassador Program 2021-2022 Application

What is a Student Ambassador?

A student ambassador is a liaison, spokesperson, and advocate for the TJPF. Ambassadors must have strong interpersonal skills, a positive attitude, and intrinsic motivation to accomplish tasks.

TJPF Student Ambassadors will lead donors on tours of the school, write thank- you notes for contributions, volunteer at TJPF events, and represent TJ and the TJPF to alumni and community members. They may also have the opportunity, depending on the current public health situation, to travel to places like New York and California for alumni visits and TJPF events.

Why should I be a Student Ambassador?

  • Improve communication and leadership skills
  • Network (contact with corporate representatives and TJ alumni)
  • Receive service hours
  • Work as a team with other TJ students
  • Share knowledge about school to donors and the community
  • Build your resume for college and receive letters of recommendations

What is the time commitment?

Student Ambassadors are expected to attend a once monthly eighth period session or luncheon during the school year with the TJPF. Approximately 2 hours will go towards TJPF projects each month. Those who served as Student Ambassadors during the 2020-2021 academic year and are interested in continuing to serve in this role will provide proof of GPA and class year to TJPF staff to ensure that the necessary criteria are still met.
