Visit by Battelle CEO
Battelle Memorial Foundation CEO Jeffrey Wadsworth and other Battelle executives visited TJ on December 15th, 2011. Battelle is the world's largest independent research and development organization, and manages many of the US Department of Energy's largest National Laboratories. In addition to meeting with TJ administrators, the group spent two hours in the Optics & Modern Physics, Biotechnology and Energy Systems Labs, speaking with students about their projects and learning from Lab Directors about the labs’ needs.

Alumni Day
On November 26, 2011, the TJHSST Alumni Association held its third Alumni Day event at TJ. Hundreds of alums attended, representing nearly every class year. The Partnership Fund participated by providing lab tours to interested alumni. We also had the opportunity to interview a few alums, who reflected on the value of their TJ education in the video below.
Barack Obama Visits TJ
On September 16, 2011, President Barack Obama visited TJ to sign the America Invents Act, a patent reform bill. A video of his speech is below.
